Teachers Information

Kids Clubhouse is dedicated to providing an environment that cultivates, an atmosphere that nurtures each child as an individual, encourages independence and decision making, and where all children enjoy learning the fun way.

Infants (6 weeks to 9 months)

Our program provides infants with a safe environment, rich with opportunities to actively explore and enjoy. Our trained infant caregivers establish a nurturing, creative world for your children filled with responsive interactions and language. Parents’ preference about feeding and sleeping schedules and the child’s own patterns govern the course of the day. Our low caregiver/child ratio is designed to allow individualized care. A daily report log is given to parents at the end of the day which includes information about eating, sleeping and diapering and other information about your child’s day.

Wobblers (10 months to 19 months)

Our Wobblers’ classroom is designed to accommodate curious active toddlers.

The hands – on classroom environment allows each child to manipulate, explore and discover new materials.

The classroom is set up into an interest center which includes:

  • Fine motor play and manipulative – includes reaction toys, puzzles, and stacking objects, shape sorters
  • Imagination and quiet play- includes kitchen sets, play food, dolls, dress up
  • Literacy – library with picture books, textured board books, touch and feel books

Our low staff child ratio allows each child’s unique emotional, social, physical and intellectual development to be met.

A daily communication log is given to parents at the end of the day which includes information about eating, sleeping and diapering and any other relevant information about your child’s day.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten is a special time in a child’s life. Children at this age are developing physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally. Our skill-based kindergarten program includes reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, art, music, and physical education activities. The program helps children develop all of these skills in a warm, nurturing environment.

We encourage continuing language development through letter and sound recognition, writing activities, reading, stories, singing, nursery rhymes, and finger plays. Children have the opportunity to practice writing their names, words, and short sentences. They play alphabet games and dictate original stories. They develop math and cognitive skills with activities that focus on counting, matching, sorting, building, and number and shape recognition. Children use crayons, paints, and markers to explore artistic expression. They are encouraged to learn through hands-on discoveries in each classroom learning center.

Before and After School (5 years to 12 years)

Kids’ clubhouse offers a safe, convenient program for before & after-school school, holidays, and other school closings. The overall goal of this program is to help children develop valuable skills while encouraging the smart choices and healthy habits that last a lifetime. We provide a nurturing, stimulating, and fun environment where children further their learning experiences and explorations. Our centers drop off and pick up children from neighborhood schools at the end of each school day. We provide a nutritious afternoon snack each day while kids socialize with their friends.

Student needs are met through warm interactions with teachers, who provide help and guidance with daily homework, reading, studying, and special projects.

The after-school program encourages activities that foster teamwork, helping to build a child’s confidence, self-esteem, character, and social skills. Children are also given the opportunity to play word and board games, create arts and crafts projects, participate in music and movement activities, and enjoy physical fitness. Our staff assists the children in completing daily written homework assignments.

Summer Camp

Kids’ Clubhouse summer camp is all about learning while having fun. Our program utilizes all of our local resources to expose children to the arts. Museums, children’s theater productions, visits to the park for water play, exciting field trips, in-house entertainment and exposure to lots of sunshine are just some of the fun things we will do during the summer.

Our summer program was designed for children on the go. The theme-based program was created to inspire your child to explore, create, interact and stay active during the summer months. We have chosen developmentally and age appropriate activities, lessons and games for both learning and fun to enhance what your child has already learned. Your child’s summer vacation at our program becomes a strong foundation for future success.
